Two new schools join our Trust

Wednesday 29 Nov 2017 We are thrilled to announce that we have great pleasure in welcoming two new schools to the Academy for Character and Excellence

Collaton St Mary Church of England Primary School in Paignton and Galmpton Church of England Primary School near Brixham joined our Trust on the 1st November 2017 and we are delighted to have two Church schools within our MAT

The Academy for Character and Excellence was set up in June 2016 with two founder schools, Shaldon Primary School and Redhills Primary School in Exeter, and promotes character education – a values-led approach to education. 

We will now be taking this opportunity to review our mission, vision and values alongside Collaton St. Mary and Galmpton to ensure that the Trust reflects and aligns the beliefs of The Church of England Vision Statement for Education and our Trust’s focus on character education.  This is an important next step as the mission, vision and underpinning values are the heartbeat of our Trust; they are an integral part of who we are and will reflect on our actions at every level.

We are very excited about the future and working with all schools within our Trust enabling us to build the Academy for Character and Excellence to its full potential.
